Sk2 facial treatment clear lotion

Claims:PURIFYING - the path of purity. Clear Purifying Lotion. For perfectly conditioned and ultra-fresh skin

Ingredients: Water, Saccharomycopsis Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene GlycoI, Cellulose Gum, Polysorbate 20, Glycerin, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, PEG-150, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid.

Again the main ingredient is pitera, which can regulate the normal cell turnover process. A combination of citric ,lactic , malic and salicylic acid helps to exfoliate the dead cells gently, the concentration is gentle enough to use daily .

The main worry of this product for me is the preservative(disodium EDTA and methylparaben), they are located at the middle of the ingredient list so they may concentrate enough to sensitize the skin. Sensitive skin should be more careful.

A transparent watery fluid without any awkward smell like FTE ,it is like water completely.

I still remember my skin reacted badly with this toner at first .My skin turned red after wiping my skin with this toner.

However, after 1 year I gave it a try again, this time the result is completely opposite. I use this after washing my face with a foaming face wash, my skin becomes so so so ...clean but not drying or redness at all! Then I will continue with my FTE, the absorption becomes so much better. The following skincare products can be absorbed into the skin instantly! I can notice some grey residue stick on the cotton if I did not clean my face properly before that. I will fold the cotton into a smaller piece and wipe gently the area around mouth and nose in a circular movement to exfoliate the skin around that area.Sk2 does not sell any scrub or exfoliator. Sk2 encourages their users to remove the dead cells daily, that is why this toner appears in their skincare range as the first step after cleansing. Personally I like this concept so much due to a few reasons .Normal exfoliation twice a week will cause:

11)    redness and not comfort after exfoliation(if wrong product)

22)dry skin for the next morning and the skin needs extra hydration so skincare steps are required to modify.

33)   dead cells cannot turn over daily for optimum skincare product absorption .

soak a cotton pad with clear lotion .Gently wipe over T zone ,then U zone and neck 

Avoid eye area. I will use it at night, but not every night .If I notice my skin is drier in the morning, I will skip that at night to prevent excessive moisture loss.

Pros: ensuring the cleansing is complete, improve skincare product absorption, highly recommended for oily skin or those with redundant dead cells

Cons: prone a risk to sensitize the skin

Lancome hydra zen moisturising aqua gel fresh

Claims: Lancôme HYDRA ZEN NEOCALM Multi-Relief Anti-Stress Moisturizing Aqua GelFresh is an intense moisturizer for your skin to combat against environmental stressors and ease your mind. Instantly soothe and calm your skin while surging it with ample moisture, keeping it moist and supple.

The main hydrating ingredients are glycerin and a variety of plan extracts,but if wan to compare the concentration with other formulation ingredients(propylene glycol,alcohol denat ,butylene glycol …)the plant extracts are negligible.

Although it is a product designed for sensitive skin,lancome still use a high amount of alcohol denat in this product.(fourth in the list)In addition,phenoxyethanol(preservative) is too much,long term usage may aggravate sensitive skin.Propylene glycol(PG) can clog pore,I don`t understand why lancome don`t just use butylene glycol  to replace the PG.

This is a very fresh gel toner/lotion with a light rose smell.The smell provides a calming effect after a hectic day.After application my skin is visble more hydrated ,soothen and plump up.

Pros:hydrate,soothen and plump up the skin

Cons:alcohol denat and preservative

Apply on properly cleaned skin ,before essence and moisturizer.You can apply directly on the skin by using  bare hand or on a piece of cotton.Sometime I soak this toner in a few pieces of cotton pad and use it as a hydrating mask,the result will be far more noticeable .=)

La prairie advanced marine biology tonic

Claims:This revitalizing triple-phase serum can play an important role in helping your skin regain its youthful tone and radiance.

These ingredients, which include vitamins, natural oils and marine-derived anti-oxidants, act in synergy to oxygenate, brighten and energize your skin

This is a tonic concentrated with abundant of useful plant extract and plant essential oil,which is good for skin turnover and able to revitalize the skin.However,the main ingredient in this product is too harmful for the skin.

       First ingredient:SD alcohol-dries up the skin

       Sixth ingredient:mineral oil-clogged pore

This is a biphasic tonic,we have to shake and mix well the biphasic toner before application.It has a fresh marine parfum smell but when you wipe it on the face the evaporated alcohol is noticeable.I used this tonic only when I found my skin has decrased ‘’appetite’’ to absorb the skincare products.After using for 1 day,you definitely can feel the skin texture is more even and the absorption of consequent products has improvement and also a boost of radiance .Maybe because of the proper formulation,I don`t feel the drying effect of alcohol as well as the pore clogging effect of the mineral oil.I will more categorize it as a miracle product,which doesn`t show a nice ingredient list but can perform very well.=)However,personally I found that long term usage may predispose the skin to sensitive condition.

SEKKISEI LOTION

Aloha,

                Now we already talk about serum, cleanser and all bunch of stuff. Next, we move on to toner.  Let’s face it, not everyone use toner. Some say, it has no use and just a waste of money. But for me, I use it for extra cleaning and to ensure that no residue is left over after cleansing.

                Here, it goes!!! One of the most famous toner/lotion there is in the market, Sekkisei Lotion.

Ingredient :

Water, Alcohol, Glycerin, Angelica Acutiloba Root Extract, Coix Lacryma, Jobi Seed Extract (Jobs Tears), Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (Witch Hazel), Melothria Heterophylla Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil (Wheat), Citric Acid, Dl-C12-15 Pareth-8 Phosphate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Citrate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Triethylhexanoin, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance The result from using this lotion is instant. Based on its claim, it has the ability to moisturize and whiten at the same time. So, from my first experience of using it, I do feel and see the effect. You will feel that\ your skin is well hydrated and brighten from your first application. However, the whiten effect is not really that significant. If you look at its ingredient list, alcohol is no.2, so it may irritate some people. Although, alcohol is known to cause drying, but I do feel that the lotion is hydrated enough. The brightening effect comes from glycyrrhizate (licorice extract). Third ingredient is known for having an anti-inflammatory effect.

Apart from that, this lotion can also be made into a mask. My friend really like to make it into a mask, but I personally would prefer it to be  a lotion. Because, the smell of alcohol is too strong, and the first time I did this, it almost made me want to puke. However, if you could tolerate with the smell, just go on with it. So, overall, this toner is really recommended for people with oily/normal, resistance, pigmented and wrinkle/tight skin type.

Pros : It practically has all the benefit such as brighten, hydrate and a little effct of whitening except for anti-aging

Cons : May cause dryness to some people as it has high concentration of alcohol.
