This is a silicone base eye gel.The main active ingredient is the bifida ferment lysate ,that is a yeast ferment extract,which can improve the skin turnover for a brighter eye counter.This is a not proven ingredient ,recently being found to help in repairing of cellular injury(DNA repair).Soybean seed extract for targeting uneven skin tone.Wheat germ extract nourish the epidermis.There are endless list of beneficial plant extracts for anti oxidative purpose to protect the skin from free radical that speeds up the aging around the eye.Caffeine improve the lymph circulation around the eye. Sodium hyaluronate,cholesterol,linoleic acid and squalane are excellent hydrating and repairing ingredients for the skin and long term usage can ensure the efficacy.

Petrolatum poses the risk of congesting the pore.Congesting pore around the eye area will develop into oil seed ,which is very embrassing around the eye area.

This is a light weight eye gel with a little bit sharp essential oil smell,I can tolerate with the smell.A small pea size is enough for both eye,including upper and lower eye lips.I tap it gently around the eye area and absorb quickly into the skin without any sticky feeling like a eye cream.The result is noticeable after 1 week,the eye area become brighter.Normally,when I burnt the midnight oil for the exam on the next day I will look extremely tired the next morning.However,after using this eye gel the condition has relieved.I will put a thick layer of eye gel around the eye as an eye mask before I started to study the whole night,the next morning my eye area will look brighter,others think I have a sufficient 8 hours sleep.=)This eye gel has a little bit stingy feeling on application,but after application the stingy feeling subside and won`t redden the eye area.

Tap it gently around the eye area day and night.Personally I will use it as an eye mask when my eye is very tired .

Pros:absorb easily,hydrate,long term usage beneficial for the skin

Cons:hmmm…actually no,only the oil seed problem but not so significant

Chanel hydramax+ active moisture mask

Its delicious cream texture envelops the skin, instantly delivering a deep feeling of soothing comfort. Apply the mask in the evening to infuse skin with moisture and wake up to incredibly soft, supple skin. 

The main hydrating ingredients in this mask are glycerin,shea butter, different kinds of essential oil,sodium pca and sodium hyaluronate which only requires a small amount to achieve an ideal result.

Alcohol and cetyl alcohol are not the top 5 main ingredients,but which may also be able to exert  some drying effect on the skin.Fragrance and methyparaben are too much.The antioxidant(tocopherol,ascorbyl glucoside and ascorbic acid) are too little to deliver the antioxidative effect.

This is a cream mask with a fresh marine parfum smell providing a colding effect on the skin during application,probably due to the alcohol in the product.When my skin is in a proper condition,application of this mask will make your skin looks brighter,smoothen and properly hydrated after 10 mins of application.However,when my skin is in a sensitized condition,application of this mask is not going to soothen the inflammation.On top of that,it will aggravate the symptom,making my skin itchy and red after application .=(Therefore,I only use this mask when my skin is in a good condition and before going to a big event because I need my skin to be radiant in a very short time.

Pros:smoothen ,hydrate skin and fresh

Cons:aggravate sensitized skin

Leaves on the mask for 10 mins and remove with a cotton bud.However I more prefer to massage my face with this mask and wash away with water.If you hope to use less amount to deliver the same result,I will recommend you to use 2 soy bean size and spread it all over the face,then cover your face with a plastic wrap that we normally used to cover the foods.I tried it many times and it works,this is actually a method to mimic salon facial.This method can be used on all hydration and whitening cream masks.

Available in all chanel counter,RM 189 for 75 ml.Chanel does not give free gift on purchase,so no matter how much you buy,what you can get is only a few samples.=(

SK2 cellumination deep surge EX

It also helps to firm and diminish the appearance of discoloration for youthful appearance

I would like to say,a very classical sk2 moisturizer formulation.The main ingredients are still the same thing:pitera and niacinamide,and also the same formulation lipid ingredients.The paraben is still considered as high.The only special ingredient in this moisturizer is the centella asiatica extract but which is negligible.

It has a very light gel texture comes with a light rosy smell,yet it is hydrating enough without leaving any sticky or oily touching sensation.I found the skin has much improvement in the hydration as well as clarity level after continuous usage for 1 month.It is ideal to be a day time moisturizer due to its light texture.However,I don`t think it is worth to spend 500 buck on this moisturizer,which should be cheaper ! I bought it is due to I believe to use it together with the cellumination EX essence will get a synergistic effect.I found a special usage about this mask is that it can be used as a sleeping mask when you are too tired to carry out your step by step night time skincare.The next morning you will wake up with a clear and properly hydrated skin.=)

Pros:light weight,hydrating and noticeable whitening effect

Cons:expensive

Use after cleansing and toning.If you use sk2 FTE and cellumination,use this after them.

Available in all SK2 counter with RM 499 for 50 ml,I will more encourage you for getting another whitening moisturizer from sk2-whitening source derm brightener.

La prairie advanced marine biology tonic

These ingredients, which include vitamins, natural oils and marine-derived anti-oxidants, act in synergy to oxygenate, brighten and energize your skin

This is a tonic concentrated with abundant of useful plant extract and plant essential oil,which is good for skin turnover and able to revitalize the skin.However,the main ingredient in this product is too harmful for the skin.

       First ingredient:SD alcohol-dries up the skin

       Sixth ingredient:mineral oil-clogged pore

This is a biphasic tonic,we have to shake and mix well the biphasic toner before application.It has a fresh marine parfum smell but when you wipe it on the face the evaporated alcohol is noticeable.I used this tonic only when I found my skin has decrased ‘’appetite’’ to absorb the skincare products.After using for 1 day,you definitely can feel the skin texture is more even and the absorption of consequent products has improvement and also a boost of radiance .Maybe because of the proper formulation,I don`t feel the drying effect of alcohol as well as the pore clogging effect of the mineral oil.I will more categorize it as a miracle product,which doesn`t show a nice ingredient list but can perform very well.=)However,personally I found that long term usage may predispose the skin to sensitive condition.

Cle de peau crème protection UV spf 50 PA +++ Claims:

Claims:An advanced-performance sunscreen that helps prevent signs of photoaging while enhancing the natural beauty and suppleness of skin.

This is chemical sunblock(main ingredient:ethylhexy methoxycinnamate) .Normally ,a chemical sunblock would not leave any white residue on your skin but it would sensitize the skin.It contains sodium hyaluronate for hydration purpose as well as some antioxidant to neutralize the free radical that will be produced when the skin is exposed to the sunlight.There are abundant of plant extract but in a very low concentration which may not be enough to perform the efficacy.However,this sunblock does contain a variety of ingredients that may lead to clogged pore later(polysilicone,petroleum).Parfum and phenoxyethanol(preservative) are listed in the middle of the ingredient,which is considered quite high for a preservative and parfum.

It is actually a cream texture sunblock comes with a light floral smell.The promoter told me that this is actually a day cream which can be used directly after essence and you are ready to out for the sun.I bought it that time is due to I thought I can save more money on the day time moisturizer step as well as time.Ya it can be used after essence directly,but I found that if u add on a moisturizer step the skin will be more well hydrated in the evening when u clean the skin.The efficacy of the sunblock is definitely …excellent,it is considered the best sunblock I ever used.No white residue,easy to clean,the skin tone remained ,extremely hydrate the skin yet not oily.The best part for this sunblock is that if u wake up late and there will be a meeting later,this can be the only step for your day time skincare and it is enough to provide your skin with sufficient amount of hydration throughout the day,seriously ! =)After using the sunblock for 2 months,I definitely found that my skin is more well hydrated and stable.I do believe it has some effects to deal with the environment aggressor(pollutant,temperature change,sunlight) because I don`t experience any redness or itchiness when I use this sunblock for a shopping day,which I normally will experienced.However,kindly remind those with a very oily skin,it may cause break out for your skin type =).

Pros:hydrating,easy cleaning,well protect from sunlight,no white residue,shorten day time skin care.

Cons:expensive and has the potential to cause clogged pore.

To Use:

• ○Apply after your morning regimen when using on the face or neck. Dispense a moderate amount of the cream onto the fingertips, and apply thoroughly and evenly.
• ○When applying the cream on the body, draw lines with the cream directly onto the skin, spread widely and evenly with the palm of your hands in a circular motion.
• ・When using with foundation, apply a pearl-sized portion (around 0.3 g).
  ・When using without foundation, the portion used should equal the size of two pearls (around 0.6 g).
  ・Neck 2-pearl size (around 0.6 g)
  ・Décolleté 2-pearl size (around 0.6 g)

SK2 ,stempower

This is one of the SK2 star products.After 5 times of revolution, this is the lastest one-stempower

SK2 claims that this product is formulated with the revolutionary stem acanax complex that penetrates deep to improve skin from within.Pore to be less visible in 1 day.Improve radical firmness in 10 days.So you can feel the youthful beauty of 10 years ago.

The new ingredient in this product is acanthopanax senticosus root extract(stem cell).It claims to reduce the sign of aging ,but the research is only being done by P&G so the efficiency is uncertained.In my opinion,I do not think a plant stem cell which has a different genetic with human is able to help in regeneration of human epithelium cells,the most it can do is to provide antioxidantive effect.However,the niacinamide is concentrate enough to perform the anti aging effect.Tocopherol acetate is the anti oxidant to neutralize the oxidative stress from the environment ,such as pollution,stressful lifestyle ,drinking and sleep after midnight.Unfortunately,the jar packaging may cause the antioxidant effect of the product to decline after some time because of the antioxidant is being oxidized by the oxygen in the atmosphere.Methylparaben and propylparaben  are located at the middle of the ingredient list,which is considered as concentrated for preservative,but I don’t get allergic to this product.Last but not least,like other sk2 products,pitera is one of the main ingredients.

This moisturizer has a emulsion like texture,odourless and it has a very very light texture ,the lightest cream I ever found but is good enough to trap the moisture within the skin .=)

The tips to select a moisturizer which suite you the most is that after application it cannot dry up immediately,it also cannot leave your skin with a thick layer of greasy feeling,instead it should properly hydrate the skin by leaving a thin shield of protection layer to trap the moisture within your skin.It qualifies all the criterias for me~!After using for 1day,I definitely found the the skin texture has been more refined instantly,properly has to thank for the crosspolymer in this product which plays a role to fill up the skin`s imperfection.After one month of usage,I found the hydration level  of the skin has improvement as well as the overall tightness of the skin.Sadly,my fine smile line is still there .=(

Pros:hydrate and refine the skin,light enough to be used on oily skin,nice packaging with a classical sk2 red color

Cons:cannot target deep line,expensive and do not last for a long time

Application:after toner n essence,take an appropriate amount(1 com diameter) with spatula on the palm.Dot on the forehead,cheek and chin and gently spread it over the face.

Available in all sk2 counters with RM352 for 50 ml or RM 519 for 80 ml,the price has increased a lot within this 2 years.I bought mine in a stem power set,RM 352 for a 50 ml jar ,30 ml FTE and one piece of lifting mask. 

SK2 facial treatment repair c

What product can make a skincareholic to stick to it for more than 2 years ?The product must be very gentle to the skin and long-term usage still perform well .This is the one-facial treatment repair c

This product claims to reduce fine line in 2 weeks.This product has been in the market for more than 10 years. Although this is not being advertised as frequent as the facial treatment essence,but this effective product is still one of the star products of sk2 .

Ingredients: Saccharomycopsis Ferment Filtrate**, Aqua (Water / Eau), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate.

The main ingredient for this serum is 4 times concentrated pitera(that`s why it is called as repair c,c stands for concentrated not vitamin c )For more information about the function of pitera please check my facial treatment essence post.Besides,hyaluronic acid(sodium hyaluronate) is another active ingredient for this serum,in simple it acts like a glue to hold the cells to connect tightly with each other,so the allergen can`t penetrate the skin easily to cause inflammation ,in long term it will make the skin barrier stronger.Normally we will look for the active ingredient to be in the first one third of the ingredient list,but this concept does not work on hyaluronic acid.This is because hyaluronic acid can bind to the water molecule which is 1000 times of its` own mass,so if a serum has too much hyaluronic acid but since there is no enough water molecule for the hyaluronic acid to bind with,the excess hyaluronic acid is also a waste.The paraben is negligible .Others are all formulation ingredients which will not cause sensitivity and are not comedogenic .All and all,very nice and safe ingredient.

It is a very watery and transparent serum,one drop is enough to spread all over the face which can absorb into the skin easily and leaving the skin a thin shield like feeling without stickiness .It has a very classical sk2 smell,some kind like saliva =) some may found it stink.The longer you keep ,the stronger the smell.After using for 3 days,you can see your skin becomes more hydrate and brighter dramatically.This does not work on me alone,my brother as well.After using for 1 month you can see the skin texture becomes finer,smaller pore and even fairer.The fine lines around the eyes and smile lines are even up but if you have a very deep wrinkles ,I don’t think it will work.

Pros:very effective,gentle,personally I highly recommend this serum

Cons:expensive,but can last for 6 months since it only use at night and only 1 drop is required

Application:it is best to use at night after toner before moisturizer
